Eric Pflaum is a member of the MetLife Investment Management (MIM) Institutional Client Group. Eric is a senior relationship manager and is responsible for the business development of MIM’s private assets and fixed income investment strategies working primarily with insurance and healthcare companies.

Prior to joining MetLife in July 2020, Eric was a Principal at Apollo Global Management for two years. While at Apollo, Eric focused on business development for the firms $180B yield platform. Prior to joining Apollo, Eric was an institutional sales professional at Standish Mellon Asset Management / BNY Mellon for seven years specializing in institutional sales for large corporate pension plan, endowment and foundation clients in the eastern half of the United States. Previously, Eric was a senior investment analyst at MainePERS for two years where he led the public market portfolio while building their alternative portfolio. Eric began his asset management career at Lehman Brothers where he spent nine years in credit sales and building a multi-billion dollar corporate treasury management business.

Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a marketing concentration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Eric is a CFA® charterholder and is licensed with FINRA.
