Overview

Our institutional investment management business focuses on creating attractive returns for institutional investors.

MetLife Investment Management (MIM) leverages size, scale, and deep asset sector relationships to seek attractive investment opportunities for institutional investors. Our recent acquisition of Logan Circle Partners has enabled us to add new investment capabilities and widen the range of these opportunities to offer public and private fixed income and real estate capabilities.

With more than $588 billion in total assets under management1, we are one of the largest institutional investment managers in the world.

Investment Approach

MIM believes that performance begins with preparation. We are primarily a bottom-up, fundamental research-based investment manager. We rely on our in-house, proprietary research efforts coupled with nimble trading to build relative value driven portfolios with attractive risk-reward characteristics. We take a team approach to managing our clients’ portfolios, with ideas generated by portfolio managers, research analysts and traders alike. At MIM, we believe there is no substitute for experience and our experience has been tested in every market environment.
