Head of Credit, Ratings and Analytics - Real Estate

Curt Dawson is head of the credit, ratings & analytics team within the risk, research & analytics group of MetLife Investment Management (MIM). In this role, he oversees the risk ratings of MIM’s commercial mortgage loan portfolios, analytics and market values for the commercial mortgage loan and agricultural mortgage portfolios. In addition, he oversees risk management, including insurance/event risk management, for real estate and agricultural investments.

Prior to this role, he was managing director of credit and asset management at Genworth Financial. At Genworth, Dawson was responsible for credit approvals for commercial mortgage and real estate alternative investments, problem loan resolutions, portfolio analytics, and investment pricing for the company’s $6 billion commercial real estate portfolio. Dawson joined GE Capital, Genworth’s predecessor in 1997 and he joined the commercial real estate team in 2000. Dawson began his real estate career in property development in Poland in 1994.

Dawson earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Whitman College and an MBA at Duke University.
