Edward J. Turner is head of the valuations & underwriting team within the risk, research & analytics group of MetLife Investment Management (MIM). Turner oversees valuations of real estate equity, establishes and administers valuation policy, acts as a valuation representative to various real estate trade organizations, and manages relationships with valuation and valuation management firms. 

Turner has over 20 years of commercial real estate valuation and underwriting experience. Prior to joining MetLife in 2012, he was most recently employed by The Altus Group, where he managed the appraisal process for key institutional clients with multiple portfolios totaling over $14 billion in assets. Prior to Altus Group, he held senior valuation roles at Prudential Investment Management, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Turner earned a Bachelor of Science in management science/accounting from Kean College of New Jersey and a Master of Science in real estate from New York University. He also holds the prestigious Member of the Appraisal Institute designation (MAI); is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRIC); and is a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE).
