COVID-19 Trusted Partner Update
Dear Trusted Partner,
As we continue to deal with the uncertainty created by the rapidly-evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, I wanted to share with you a change to our business continuity plans. Given the complexity of this environment, and in light of a significant number of new directives from local and state authorities that we saw last week, we have asked all MetLife Investment Management employees in the U.S. and London to work from home until further notice. Our Asia team continues to follow a multi-location strategy with employees working either from the office or from home.
A significant number of our investment professionals have been working from home for a week now and I am happy to report that we have not had any major challenges. The many hours our teams put into planning and testing our global business continuity plans have been well worth it. Also, the continuity and integrity of our investment process is intact as a result of the backstops we have built into our process. As a global team, we are in constant contact with each other, we are collaborating closely, and we have ensured backup coverage models are in place across our organization.
During this period of uncertainty, I wanted to continue to reiterate that MetLife Investment Management remains committed to ensuring that our resources are fully engaged to support the management of your investment portfolio during these unusual times. As a global organization, our teams are accustomed to working together virtually to communicate, make decisions and manage portfolios. This has helped us greatly in preparing for today’s environment.
Please be assured that we are here for you and will continue to do what is necessary to support you during these challenging times. We sincerely hope that your organizations, employees and families are successful in managing today’s environment.
Thank you for your support and the trust you place in MetLife Investment Management. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
Best regards,
Steven J. Goulart
President, MetLife Investment Management
