MetLife Investment Management Future Leaders Externship

The MetLife Investment Management Future Leaders Program is a virtual experiential learning externship created to provide undergraduate freshman and sophomore students (rising sophomores and rising juniors) with broad exposure to different careers in investment management. 

Areas of focus will include:
  • Commercial Real Estate and Agricultural Finance
  • Public Fixed Income
  • Private Capital
  • Insurance Asset Management
  • Client Services
  • Institutional Client Group
  • MetLife Insurance Investments

Program Highlights
  • Participate in an immersive learning experience including a fundamental overview of institutional asset management and financing solutions, personal branding, and transferable skills workshops.
  • Meet top students and network with experienced investment professionals to learn about different career paths at MIM.
  • Cultivate valuable skills and foundational knowledge, while also receiving the opportunity to interview for the MIM Summer 2026 Internship Program, subject to meeting eligibility requirements.

Program Eligibility
The Future Leaders Program is open to any current undergraduate freshman or sophomore student (rising sophomores and rising juniors) with a strong academic background and an interest in learning about careers in investment management from seasoned professionals. 

During the entirety of the program, participants must be residing in the United States to be eligible to participate.

Only students with graduation dates between December 2026 and June 2028 are eligible for this program.
