Appointed Head of Thought Leadership

MetLife Investment Management announced the appointment of Guy Haselmann as Head of Thought Leadership at the firm. Based in Whippany, New Jersey, Haselmann is responsible for MIM’s thought leadership strategy working closely with investment teams to provide clients and consultants with our insights on investment markets. 

Laura Manley, chief marketing officer for MetLife Investment Management, said: “Guy’s background as a portfolio manager and market strategist combined with his communication skills will be beneficial as we provide our clients with thought leadership tied to our deep expertise in public fixed income, private capital and real estate.”

Haselmann joins from FETI Group, an organization he founded which invented and developed different scoring methodologies to evaluate ESG, cybersecurity, geopolitical, human rights and equality variables used as investment criteria. He has over 25 years of experience in investment management, including positions as head of global macro strategy at Scotiabank, global strategist and proprietary trader for Barclays Capital and portfolio manager for Moore Capital Management. From 2010 to 2018, Haselmann served on the NJ State Investment Council, which oversees the states $90 billion public pension.
