Elvin Lopez, CFA

Managing Director, Alternative Investments Portfolio Manager

Elvin is responsible for MIM’s global private equity program. He chairs the investment committee for alternative investments and is a voting member for the direct debt investment committee. He joined MIM in August 2007 from The State of New Jersey where he co-headed the private equity program.

Prior to that, Elvin spent five years as a research analyst at W.R. Huff Asset Management covering distressed and high yield securities. Before joining W.R. Huff Asset Management, Elvin spent six years at Merck & Co. Inc. in various financial positions including Investor Relations and Treasury. He began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young.

Elvin is a CFA charterholder and Certified Public Accountant. He received his BS degree in Finance and Accounting and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
