Gary Dinka is head of Real Estate debt production and is responsible for commercial loan pricing and mortgage production strategy for the MetLife Investment Portfolios. He is a voting member and vice chair of the Investment Committee. Dinka has been with MetLife for over 20 years and in real estate for nearly 30 years.
Prior to his current role, Dinka was the debt team leader for the Tampa regional office which managed a $2.6 billion commercial loan portfolio encompassing Florida, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Dinka and his team originated and closed loans totaling $5.5 billion. Dinka joined MetLife in 1995 and worked in equity real estate responsible for asset management, property dispositions and financing. Since 2003, he has built extensive commercial mortgage experience in sourcing, underwriting, closing and loan servicing. Prior to joining MetLife, Dinka was a commercial real estate appraiser providing property valuations throughout the State of Florida.
Dinka earned his Bachelor of Science in finance with a concentration in real estate from the University of Florida. He received a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, and an MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. Dinka is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
