Insurance Strategist, Insurance Asset Management

Harold Myers is a director and insurance strategist within the Insurance Asset Management group at MetLife Investment Management (MIM). He is currently responsible for the development and implementation of asset allocation and portfolio strategies for U.S. dollar-denominated portfolios on behalf of MetLife Japan’s insurance business. He also acts as an advisor to MetLife’s general account and MIM’s local investment team in Tokyo.

Harold joined MetLife in 2005. Prior to his current position he was lead portfolio manager for the U.S. dollar-denominated portfolios related to MetLife Japan’s insurance business. Prior to that position he supported management activity for the Japan and Middle East affiliated U.S. dollar-denominated businesses. Harold also spent three years in the Asset & Derivatives team within the Portfolio Management Unit. He began at MetLife on the derivatives trading desk. Prior to joining MetLife, Harold held various positions at Merrill Lynch Pierce, Fenner and Smith, Inc.

Harold holds an MBA in finance and B.S. in business administration from Wagner College. He is a CFA® charterholder.
