Israel Grafstein

Chief Compliance Officer

Israel Grafstein serves as the chief compliance officer of MetLife Investment Management, LLC (MIM), MetLife’s SEC-registered investment adviser, and oversees the Affiliated Insurance Companies group (AIC) as well as the MetLife FINRA-regulated broker dealers, MetLife Investments Securities, LLC and MetLife Investors Distribution Company. He leads MetLife Investments Department's Compliance and Risk Management unit (Investments Compliance). He has overall responsibility for the MetLife Investments Department compliance risk management program, including its regulated institutional investment advisers in the U.S., Canada, London, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Israel joined MIM in March 2021. Prior to joining MIM, Israel worked at JPMorgan Chase, where he was the global legal head of Managed Investments for the asset and wealth management business. Previously, he was a senior compliance executive, where he led compliance for the global multi-asset solutions and insurance group, investing in equities, private funds, real estate and fixed income. He has also held legal and compliance leadership positions with several other asset managements, including New York Life, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup.

Israel received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School and an MBA from Baruch College.
