Senior Portfolio Manager - Real Estate Debt Strategies

Michael Roch is a senior portfolio manager in the Real Estate Debt Strategies group. Roch is currently responsible for managing the investment management debt platform.

Prior to this, he was head of the capital markets group where he oversaw a $4 billion portfolio, and invested in subordinate debt, structured leverage debt positions, subscription lines, secured real estate credit facilities and warehouse lines. He also managed MetLife Investment Management’s (MIM) real estate private equity fund. Roch joined MetLife in 1985 and has served in various investment capacities, including real estate asset management, mortgage loan production and portfolio management. In 2001, Roch was promoted to head of the CMBS unit and managed a $12 billion diversified bond portfolio. In 2004, he became a voting member of the Real Estate Investment Committee.

Roch holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Drew University and a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University. Roch has been an active member of the MBA and CRE Finance Counsel, participating on numerous conference panels, presentations, and committees.
