Assistant Portfolio Manager - Real Estate Debt Strategies
Julie Jacobs is assistant portfolio manager of the debt strategies group, MetLife Investment Management (MIM) separate accounts. Julie is responsible for MIM's client accounts, including deal flow and investment opportunities, contract negotiations and developing investment parameter strategies for each client, as well as general management of the client portfolios. Julie works directly with our legal and compliance departments to ensure that all investments are made in compliance with clients’ investment strategies. In addition to the portfolio manager role, Julie serves as the main point of client contact.
Prior to her current role, she was the client relationship manager for three years working closely with the portfolio manager to develop the platform for the MIM separate account business. Before that, she held the position of loan asset manager for the Northeast regional debt office for 10 years. Prior to joining MetLife in 2003 as a paralegal in the commercial real estate department, Julie spent 10 years in a law firm as a commercial real estate paralegal, serving clients such as Wells Fargo, United Jersey Bank, Bank of New York and Emigrant Savings Bank.
Jacobs earned a technical degree as a certified paralegal from the Institute for Paralegal Studies.
