Eric Jacobsohn, CFA

Portfolio Manager – Equity Management

Eric Jacobsohn is a portfolio manager for MetLife Investment Management’s (MIM) small and small-mid cap equities team. He also serves as the sector head for US cyclicals providing research coverage for industrial, energy, and materials sectors for the small cap and small-mid cap strategies.

Eric joined MIM on February 28, 2025 in connection with the acquisition of Mesirow Institutional Investment Management’s equities management team where he served as a portfolio manager and sector head for US cyclicals providing research coverage for the industrial, energy, and materials sectors for the small cap and small-mid cap strategies. Prior to joining Mesirow in 2017, he worked at Calamos Investments where he was the sector head for U.S. cyclicals. In this capacity, he conducted fundamental analysis on the industrial, energy, and materials sectors and made portfolio recommendations. Prior to Calamos Investments, he worked as a buy-side senior equity research analyst at Columbia Wanger Investment Management and as a sell-side equity research analyst at Robert W. Baird & Company. He has 22 years of industry experience.

Eric earned a BBA in finance and real estate from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Eric is a CFA® Charterholder, a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute and earned the FSA Credential from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
